Welcome to Rosenkranz

A New Chapter Begins
Welcome to the new home of my musical work. This site marks a formal reorientation—a shift from 59 Perlen to Rosenkranz. While the name has changed, the core intention remains: music as a living process, rooted in the moment.

About Rosenkranz

Rosenkranz is a musical project existing between structure and intuition. At its center are reduced, electronic sounds—not generated on a computer, but emerging directly from machines, space, and the moment itself. Every session is a track, a kind of documented state.
The music moves between ambient, drone, and rhythmic density. Through the instruments chosen, it feels warm, organic, and physical—without needing to be loud.
Rosenkranz understands itself less as a classic release project and more as an ongoing process. In this framework, artifacts and traces form markers that listeners can witness. The music is understood as an archive of thinking in sound.
Currently, the project is in a conscious phase of transformation and formal realignment—moving from the former identity of 59 Perlen toward Rosenkranz.

From 59 Perlen to Rosenkranz

My journey as a live act, music producer, and event host has been based in Zurich, Switzerland for years. Whether under the name Matthias Rosenkranz or 59 Perlen, the focus has always been on improvised ambient and experimental livesets made for the moment to unfold—emerging within space and fading away with the moment. Human for human.
59 Perlen played house and ambient sets with various hardware setups for diverse audiences. The often minimalist tracks told a story by combining dubhouse elements and ambient atmospheres while remaining danceable.
These roots continue to shape what Rosenkranz becomes.

What Changes—and What Stays

  • Old Website: 59perlen.com will remain accessible for a while in parallel but will no longer be updated. It will be shut down at the end of July.
  • Coaching: I continue to offer coaching sessions.
  • Social Media: My social media profiles are being gradually switched over to the new name.
Thank you for being part of this transition. This site is where the archive continues to grow. — Matthias
